About elumeg

Since 1982, elumeg GmbH has been manufacturing plastic- and textile-insulated cables in Grafenau in the Bavarian Forest. The company name stands for "elektrotechnische und mechanische Fabrikation Grafenau" (electrical and mechanical manufacturing Grafenau). The product range includes hook-up wires such as Liy (70 °C) and Liy-t (105 °C), various plastic and textile cables (including types 120-S, 130-S, 130-KMB, 155-U, 155-U-UL, 180-U) as well as lamp cables and lamp connection cables (FLKL). Production is carried out to customer specification, also in small lot sizes; certain textile cables are additionally available directly from stock. Cable production is carried out, among other things, by sheath extrusion on a line renewed in 2012 and by insulation lacquering on an extended lacquering system. On a production and administration area of around 3900 m² in three production halls, the company employs approximately 35 staff. Customers are found mainly in electrical engineering and the lamp and luminaire industry.
