About ELWEMA
ELWEMA Automotive GmbH develops and manufactures special-purpose machinery and automated systems for cleaning, sealing and leak testing, and assembly, primarily for the automotive and commercial vehicle industry. The portfolio includes cleaning systems (R), testing and leak test systems (P) and assembly systems (M), as well as the combined RPM® suite, which brings the three process steps together in one system and reduces interfaces. The offering is complemented by engineering services, simulation and virtual commissioning, as well as after-sales service with a worldwide response time of up to 24 hours. Founded in 1979 in Ellwangen as an engineering office for design services, the company has been part of MAX Automation GmbH since the founding of the AIM corporate group. ELWEMA systems operate at more than 70 customer sites on five continents, including plants of Audi, BMW, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, GM, Ford and Tesla.

Systems & Processes
Cleaning systems with robot handling
Modular system for pre, process and final cleaning, upstream deburring, vacuum drying and workpiece cooling of cubic and rotationally symmetrical components at 60 sec/component.
Steam cleaner
Resource-saving steam cleaning of rotationally symmetrical components at 13 sec/component with gravimetry < 0.2 mg.
Testing and leak test systems
Tightness testing under load, leak localization, flow testing and helium testing using relative pressure, differential pressure and mass flow methods.
Assembly systems
Manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic assembly including screwdriving, joining, welding and riveting processes with Signature Analysis.
RPM® suite
Combination of cleaning, testing and assembly in one system concept to reduce interfaces and assume process responsibility.
