em-tec Engineering & Maschinentechnik GmbH develops and manufactures hydraulic quick-coupler systems of the eQ product line for hydraulic excavators from 5 to 43 tonnes operating weight. The portfolio comprises six quick-coupler models (eQ45-5 to eQ80) as well as PowerTilt tilting actuators, rotating actuators and the eQ Tiltrotator with 360° continuous rotation and 45° tilt angle. The entire value chain is located at the Münsingen site on the Swabian Alb: from design and CNC manufacturing and high-strength steel construction to the production of hydraulic components and technical service including spare parts service. The systems feature a patented fall safeguard, pilot-operated check valves, fully automatic hydraulic couplings and an optical locking indicator; integrated lifting hooks carry 3 to 8 tonnes depending on the model. Customers are companies from civil engineering, earthmoving and landscaping in Germany; more than 500 systems are already on the market. All systems are tested according to BG BAU EuroTest and comply with the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.

The eQ systems are tested according to BG BAU EuroTest, eligible for BG BAU funding and comply with the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC as well as the standards EN ISO 12100, EN 474-1 Annex B and ISO 13031. Safety functions such as the fall safeguard, pilot-operated check valves and the optical locking indicator are integral parts of the concept.
