About EMCO
EMCO GmbH, based in Hallein-Taxach (Salzburg region), is a manufacturer of turning and milling machines founded in 1947 and counts among Europe's leading machine tool manufacturers. The portfolio ranges from conventional turning and milling machines to CNC turning centers, turn-mill machines (HYPERTURN, MAXXTURN), vertical machining centers, gantry milling machines and fully automated production cells; in addition, EMCO offers the EMCO Industrial Training education program. Machining services include CNC turning including complete machining of bar and chuck parts as well as 5-axis milling, drilling and threading in a single setup; machined materials include steel, stainless steel and aluminium (Ergal). EMCO employs around 800 staff at four production sites in Austria and Italy and has belonged to Kuhn Holding GmbH since December 2011 (group: around 1,600 employees, EUR 649 million annual revenue). The machines are used, among other things, in the automotive industry, medical technology, defense, agricultural and construction machinery engineering, as well as in mold-making and shipbuilding.
