EME Eisen-, Metall- und Elektrobau GmbH is a long-established medium-sized company based in Essen that has been active in metal processing since 1946. The company manufactures sheet metal constructions of all kinds in combination with structural steel – from one-off pieces to series production, with a maximum single-piece weight of 3 tonnes. The portfolio includes metal constructions such as frames, subframes, plant components, welded and welded-bent constructions, steel stairs, platforms, metal railings as well as transformer subframes and transformer enclosures for substations. In addition, custom constructions such as made-to-measure control cabinets, machine enclosures and prototypes up to market maturity are produced. Production covers the entire process chain: 2-D laser processing, sheet metal punching, bending, welding, painting and surface finishing through to assembly, maintenance and spare parts supply. As a system supplier including logistics and a full-service partner, EME also handles production, packaging and shipping on request. The company works with two CAD workstations in development and design and is part of the SSS Group, a medium-sized, family-owned group of companies with more than 600 employees at over 30 locations. Customers come from industry, electrical engineering/energy supply, and mechanical and plant engineering across Europe.
