About Emery Oleochemicals

Emery Oleochemicals is a globally active manufacturer of specialty chemicals based on natural oils and fats such as palm oil, palm kernel oil, vegetable oils and tallow. The portfolio comprises five business units: Agro Green (bio-based weed and insect control products), Bio-Lubricants (lubricant base stocks and additives for, among others, electric vehicles, metalworking and oilfield applications), Eco-Friendly Polyols (USDA-certified bio-polyols with 48–99% biobased content), Green Polymer Additives (PVC stabilizers and additives, LOXIOL® brand) and OleoBasics (fatty acids, glycerine and basic chemicals). Processes include fat splitting, distillation, ozone oxidation, solvent extraction (EMERSOL), hydrogenation, esterification and solvent-free crystallization. Main production sites are Cincinnati (USA) and Loxstedt (Germany), complemented by Technical Development Centers and sales offices including Düsseldorf. The company is a 50:50 joint venture between PTT Global Chemical (Thailand) and SD Guthrie (Malaysia) and serves customers in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
