About Emil Otto
Emil Otto Flux- und Oberflächentechnik GmbH was founded in 1901 and is an owner-managed company with a long tradition in the production of fluxes for the soldering industry. Its origins lie in metal chemistry, from which the know-how for manufacturing chemical products for the metalworking industry is derived. The product range includes fluxes, solder alloys, soldering aids, cleaning media and ESD products for electronics assembly, as well as chemical products such as browning and blackening agents for metal surfaces. For the solar industry, solar fluxes, tube solders and cleaning media are offered, including halogen-free no-clean fluxes for soldering solar modules as well as alcohol-based fast-dry fluxes for TOPCon and heterojunction solar cells. Customers come from the electronics, automotive, mechanical engineering, metal processing and solar industries. From January 2027, the company will largely switch its production to renewable energy.
