About EMKON automation
EMKON automation GmbH developed and built packaging machines for international customers from the tobacco industry as well as from the food and stimulants sectors. Founded in 2000 in Kirchlinteln, the company began as a service provider for the packaging industry and evolved into a packaging machinery manufacturer from 2002 onwards. Its portfolio comprised machine solutions for weighing and packaging fine-cut tobacco (roll-your-own tobacco), both as individual machines and as turnkey solutions. As of 01.08.2020, the company became part of the Optima corporate group based in Schwäbisch Hall; assets of emkon. Systemtechnik, Projektmanagement GmbH were also incorporated into the new company. Business operations in Kirchlinteln were discontinued at the end of September 2024; service inquiries are handled via SINUM Sp. z o.o. in Poland.
