About EMO Hannover
EMO Hannover is the world exhibition of machine tools and one of the largest trade fairs for metalworking worldwide. It is organised by the German Machine Tool Builders' Association (Verein Deutscher Werkzeugmaschinenfabriken, VDW) under the patronage of the European machine tool committee CECIMO. The entire spectrum of metalworking technology is on show: cutting, dividing, eroding and forming machine tools, manufacturing systems, precision tools, automated material flow, computer technology, industrial electronics and accessories. The first EMO took place in Paris in 1975; since 2005 the venue has alternated in the cycle 'Hannover – Hannover – Milan'. The Hannover venue is the Hannover Fairground, the largest trade fair grounds in the world. The trade fair is aimed at manufacturers and users of machine tools and manufacturing technology from mechanical engineering, aerospace and related industries.
