About EMOD

EMOD Motoren GmbH, headquartered in Bad Salzschlirf with a plant in Fulda, is a manufacturer of electric motors, generators and electric drive systems. The portfolio includes three-phase motors in frame sizes 35 to 560 as well as drum, servo, flat, DC and submersible motors with power ratings from 0.06 to 1,700 kW, many of them with energy efficiency class IE5. In addition to series production, EMOD implements custom and special designs up to explosion-proof motors built to customer specification – from development and design through to manufacturing from a single source. The motors are used worldwide, among other things in pumps, elevators, woodworking machines, industrial furnaces, plastic injection moulding machines, food machinery as well as ventilation and air-conditioning technology. The family-owned company employs around 475 staff on a production area of approximately 34,000 m² and trains apprentices in five professions. Many motors meet energy efficiency class IE5 standards that exceed statutory requirements.

Quality

Quality assurance begins already in the development phase: prototypes are subjected to loads far beyond everyday requirements in the company's own testing laboratory under laboratory conditions, followed by continuous inspection of all components in production through to final acceptance. Standards and regulations such as CSA, NEMA, UL, ATEX, CSA-CUS and CCC are complied with; the stated goal is "zero defects".
