About us

EMP Milchhof Prenzlau GmbH is a dairy in Prenzlau in the Uckermark region and processes fresh raw milk daily into dairy products and milk powder. The product range includes butter in various container sizes, quark in several fat levels, mild yoghurt 3.5 %, buttermilk and milk powder qualities such as skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, buttermilk powder and cream powder. Production runs continuously in 24/7 operation with modern dairy technology, three spray drying towers and a capacity of around 70,000 tonnes of products per year. Raw milk comes predominantly from farms in the surrounding area. Customers include food retail, bulk consumers, wholesale and industrial further processing; milk powder is supplied as 25-kg sacks, in big bags or in silos, including export handling. The site looks back on a dairy tradition dating from 1889 and has been part of the EDEKA Zentrale since 2025. Around 140 employees work in production, laboratory, engineering, logistics and administration.
