About empact
Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Cologne, empact GmbH is an energy service provider that implements decentralized energy infrastructure projects throughout Germany. With more than 65 employees, the company combines energy consulting, rooftop photovoltaic systems with battery storage, charging infrastructure and heating and cooling supply into one sector-coupled overall system. As a one-stop shop, empact takes on planning, financing, construction and operation of the systems on request, so customers receive a sustainable energy supply via Energy-as-a-Service services without their own investment. For existing buildings, the company develops transformation strategies to gradually electrify and decarbonize the supply. Customers include the residential and real estate industry, retail and logistics properties, and the care market; empact care is a joint venture with the management of the Weidemann Group, and empact construction is the company's own installation business for charging infrastructure. In addition to the headquarters in Cologne (Marzellenstraße 2–8), there are locations in Berlin and Munich.
