EMS-GRIVORY is part of the High Performance Polymers business unit of the EMS Group and employs more than 1000 people worldwide. The company develops and produces high-performance polyamides, which are sold worldwide under the brand names Grivory, Grilamid and Grilon. These plastics are processed by injection molding and extrusion and are manufactured in Domat/Ems (Switzerland) as well as in production facilities in Germany, China, Taiwan and the USA. In addition to materials development, EMS-GRIVORY offers support through its Application Development Centre, from feasibility studies and prototype construction to Moldflow simulation and series production support. A key focus is metal replacement and lightweight construction solutions, which enable customers to save costs and weight. The high-performance polyamides are used in the Automotive, Industrial and Consumer Goods, Electrical and Electronics, Healthcare, Optics and Packaging segments. With development and sales organizations in Europe, Asia and America, the company reaches its customers locally and quickly.

Quality

The quality management system is based on ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 (certified by SQS) and is process-oriented with the goal of customer satisfaction. Manufacturing is monitored by means of statistical process control; measuring equipment is regularly monitored and improvement programs are mandatory for all employees.

   Founded as Holzverzuckerungs AG (Hovag) by Werner Oswald in Zurich/Domat-Ems
