About EMS-GRILTECH
EMS-GRILTECH is a business unit of EMS-CHEMIE AG, which belongs to EMS-CHEMIE HOLDING AG, with its production site in Domat/Ems in Switzerland. The business unit develops and manufactures polymer-based specialty products: Grilon, Nexylon and Nexylene fibers (technical fibers based on polyamide and PPS), Griltex hotmelt adhesives, Grilbond adhesion promoters for polyester cord, Primid crosslinkers for powder coatings, and Grilonit reactive diluents for epoxy systems. These materials and additives are used in technically demanding applications, among others in the automotive industry, in civil engineering, in adhesive applications and in the paper industry. The product portfolio also includes flame-retardant polyamide fibers for the highest safety requirements as well as bonding yarns and heat-activated adhesive yarns. In November 2025, EMS-GRILTECH was honored with the Grand Award at the SPE Automotive Awards 2025 for a textile interior application based on Grilon yarn. The Domat/Ems site is both a production and development center with an Applications Developments Centre.
