About EMVLAB

The EMVLAB at Technopark Zurich is a testing laboratory accredited by the Swiss Confederation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and radio. The laboratory performs pre-measurements, measurements and tests to verify devices for electromagnetic compatibility and certify them according to the relevant standards. For CE conformity, the EMC Directive (2014/30/EU) and the Radio Equipment Directive (RED, 2014/53/EU) are covered, including the harmonized ETSI standards. Tested are radio interfaces such as RFID, NFC, Bluetooth Low Energy, LoRa, WLAN, LTE, GSM and proprietary radio systems as well as remote controls; for devices with an already certified radio module, a reduced radio test is offered. In addition, the laboratory performs LoRaWAN prequalifications ("RF" and "Protocol") in the context of Swisscom and supports customers through development and prototyping up to certification, including EMC screenings during the development phase and ESD tests.
