About us
EN-Impedanz GmbH develops, designs and manufactures electrical devices, apparatus and instruments for measurement and testing. The product range includes turnkey systems for the electrical emulation of vehicle electrical systems as well as test equipment for high-voltage applications: HV electrical system emulations (LISN or battery emulations), HV capacitance coupling networks, load dump boxes, short-circuit boxes, resonance damping elements, precharge and resistor boxes per VW 80300, 12V line emulations, and load and test resistors of the LR series. The systems comply with standards such as ISO 21498, VW 80300, MBN 11123, MBN 51123 and BMW GS 95203 and are used mainly in the automotive and industrial sectors, in particular for the development and testing of components for electric, hybrid and fuel cell vehicles. On request, delivery with DAkkS factory calibration as well as the development of custom test systems is available, supplemented by consulting, calibration and support. The impedances and frequency response can be adapted to customer requirements, and multiple impedances can be implemented in a single unit.

Electrical emulation of the vehicle HV electrical system for component-level testing per ISO 21498, VW 80300, MBN 11123, MBN 51123 and BMW GS 95203.
HV capacitance coupling network Cx
High-current capacitors for test setups in the automotive sector with high current-carrying capacity, operating voltage and safety concept.
Load-Dump-Box (LDB)
Emulates a load dump per ISO 21498 by interrupting the HV circuit in under 100 µs.
Short-circuit box
Dedicated tool for testing and validating the intrinsic safety of high-voltage components in the event of a short circuit.
Resonance damping element
Damps and shifts resonances in test setups; can be integrated into a coupling network or electrical system emulation or used as a stand-alone solution.
Precharge emulation per VW 80300
Tests the function and robustness of the precharge circuits of energy storage systems and HV components.
Resistor box per VW 80300
Simulates the load dump scenario by suddenly disconnecting a large load in the HV electrical system to test immunity.
12V line emulation (AN/LISN)
Emulation of the 12-V electrical system for testing EMC and electrical robustness according to standards such as VW 80000.
Load and test resistors (LR series)
For applications with high continuous currents and power as well as constant behavior over a wide temperature and power range.
