About the Project
ENDURE is a research and innovation project in the field of alkaline water electrolysis funded by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership. The consortium consists of renowned partners from research centres, companies and a university. The aim of the project is an innovative electrolyser stack design with novel technological components, including hierarchically structured, flow-engineered monolithic porous transport electrodes as well as PGM-free catalyst coatings for hydrogen and oxygen evolution. Through electrode improvements, design and material innovations at stack level and accelerated testing procedures, the degradation rate of alkaline cells and stacks is to be significantly reduced and efficiency increased. By the end of the project, sub-components and a short stack with at least five cells will have been tested, validated and demonstrated at laboratory scale. The project runs for 36 months and has a budget of 2,495,480 euros.
