Energieholz Eggolsheim GmbH is a specialized professional company based in Eggolsheim in Upper Franconia, focused on the recycling, disposal and utilization of waste wood. Founded in 2011, the company accepts waste wood of categories A1 to A4 as well as fresh wood, shrubbery, root stocks, sawmill residual wood, fire-damaged wood, driftwood and wood from demolition, gutting and dismantling. Processing is carried out in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Act and the Waste Wood Ordinance and includes pre-sorting, shredding, metal and contaminant separation, screening and chemical analysis. Depending on quality, the material is either recycled materially – among other things for chipboard production – or used energetically as wood chips from own production for industrial wood chip heating systems and wood-fired combined heat and power plants. Around 20,000 tonnes of waste wood are handled annually, with a material recycling rate of around 75 percent. Customers include commercial businesses, the wood industry, forestry and agriculture, public institutions and industrial wood-fired combined heat and power plants in the Nuremberg, Bamberg and Bayreuth region.

Industrial residual and used wood as well as wood from demolition, bulky waste and gutting, classified and recovered in accordance with the Waste Wood Ordinance.
Chipboard and wood-based materials
Used materially as a raw material for the wood-based materials industry, provided they are free of pollutants.
Fresh wood, shrubbery, root stocks
