About ENGEL Elektroantriebe
ENGEL Elektroantriebe GmbH is an owner-managed family company based in Walluf in the Rheingau, specializing in the development, design, production and distribution of electric drives and control technology. The portfolio includes highly dynamic three-phase synchronous motors of the HLM and HBR series, integrated drives with control electronics (HFI, HBI) and digital servo amplifiers. A key focus is on synchronous servomotors for industrial screwdriving and joining technology; in addition, customized drive solutions are realized with individual electromagnetic motor design as well as in-house controller hardware and software. In production, the company combines automated and manual manufacturing processes, including automatic winding of motor windings from enameled copper wire, manual stator production from electrical steel sheet and automated impregnation; coordination is handled via a modern ERP system. The departments for electromagnetic design, mechanical engineering and electronics development cover the entire value chain of electric drive technology. With around 75 employees, ENGEL Elektroantriebe serves industrial applications, including in the context of Industry 4.0 with integrated control electronics and various fieldbus connections such as CANopen, EtherCAT, PROFINET and EtherNet/IP.
