About Engelkarton

ENGEL KARTON + PAPIER GmbH is a family-run business, now in its third generation, that has been operating since 1948 with a focus on cardboard and paper. The range comprises around 84 board grades of virgin-fibre and recycled board – including folding boxboard, chromo board, kraft board, recycled board and bookbinding board – with grammages from 120 to 2400 g/m² and thicknesses from 50 to 4000 µm. In addition to distribution, the core of the value creation lies in the special development of customer-specific materials, such as PE-extruded cupstock, kraft board with barrier coating, through-dyed board or tobacco packaging with finishing, in close partnership with manufacturers such as Mayr-Melnhof, ITC and Westrock. Own warehouses in Stapelfeld, Bremerhaven and Enschede ensure European-wide supply from single pallets to full loads; an in-house cutting service in Enschede delivers board in customer-specific formats. Customers come from the packaging, printing, food, pharmaceutical, tobacco and book industries as well as from e-commerce. All materials are FSC®-certified; an in-house development is the paper CYCLOTEXX® with a 30% recycled-textile content.
