Engel Oberflächentechnik GmbH is part of the Engel Group, which has offered surface treatment and coating of metal and glass parts for decades – now in its third generation. At the headquarters in Pohlheim, components are anodized and powder coated, including aluminium, bare and galvanized steel as well as glass. The service portfolio includes anodizing processes (natural, coloured, hard anodizing, stainless-steel look, anodized print motifs), mechanical and chemical pretreatment such as grinding, brushing, polishing, blasting, degreasing and pickling, as well as powder coating in special sizes, also with wood, stone or metal finishes. Glass is powder coated and printed using the thermo-sublimation process. A special process is the anodizing of hollow-chamber profiles and tubes with internal contacting. Customers come from medical technology, automotive engineering, façade construction, mechanical engineering, interior fitting as well as structural metalwork and metal construction.

Anodizing with internal contacting
Special solution for anodizing hollow-chamber profiles and tubes over their full length.
Powder coating
Powder coating of aluminium as well as bare and galvanized steel, also for large components and special sizes.
Decorative finish
Wood, stone or metal finishes on aluminium, among other things for façade cladding.
Glass coating
Powder coating and printing of glass using the thermo-sublimation process, also with LED lighting.
Chemical pretreatment
Degreasing, pickling, passivating and spray galvanizing as a preliminary stage of coating.
Mechanical pretreatment
Grinding, brushing, polishing, sweep blasting as well as fine and coarse blasting.
