About EFS
Engineered Fiber Solutions GmbH (EFS), based in Hamm, is a manufacturer of technical synthetic specialty fibers and a subsidiary of the southern German STW Kautzmann GmbH. At the Hamm-Uentrop production site, synthetic specialty fibers are manufactured for applications in specialty papers, filtration media, batteries and functional materials for the aerospace and automotive sectors. The product range includes staple fibers, ground fibers, cut fibers and fibrides based on polymer fibers such as acrylic, polyamide, polyester, polypropylene and polyvinyl alcohol, as well as glass and basalt fibers. In addition to a standard program, EFS develops individual fiber solutions with targeted trial projects and test series in its own laboratory; via raw material sample boxes, customers can obtain up to six raw materials for testing purposes. Production partly uses residual materials and recyclates from textile new offcuts, and environmentally harmful substances such as asbestos have been replaced by environmentally friendly products in many areas. Quality management is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
