About Eni

Eni is an integrated, publicly listed energy company (S.p.A.) headquartered in Rome, founded in 1953 as Ente Nazionale Idrocarburi. The company covers the entire energy value chain: exploration and production of oil and gas, power generation from conventional and renewable sources, refining, petrochemical and circular chemistry (Versalis), biofuels and biorefining (Enilive), and carbon capture and storage (CCUS). With 31,523 employees, Eni is present in 62 countries across Europe, Africa, the Americas, Asia, Oceania and the Middle East. Enilive's biorefinery capacity is 1.65 million tonnes per year. At the Green Data Center in Ferrera Erbognone, Eni operates the HPC6 and HPC7 supercomputers, which together exceed the exascale threshold and are used for geophysical exploration, CO₂ storage modelling, molecular modelling and fusion research. Since 2014, Eni has pursued a transformation strategy towards Net Zero 2050 with its satellite companies Plenitude, Enilive, Eni CCUS Holding and Versalis.
