About ENJO
ENJO GmbH is an Austrian manufacturer of cleaning products based on the in-house developed ENJOtex fibre, which cleans surfaces down into the pores – without chemical cleaning agents, using only cold water. The foundation is a discovery made in 1985 by Friedrich Engl, who found a fibre with outstanding cleaning properties during the oil spill on Lake Constance. In 1990 his son Johannes Engl founded the company; since 2024, Renate and Walter Grießer have led ENJO GmbH, headquartered in Kufstein. Production is done by hand in the Vorarlberg textile region using five different fabric technologies – from very fine fibres for sensitive surfaces to robust fibres for heavy-duty cleaning applications. The raw materials are ecologically certified (OEKO-TEX®), used fibre products are recycled in a zero-waste system; the company has been climate-neutral since 2015 and climate-positive since 2022. Distribution is via a direct sales and franchise system with specialist advisors as well as the ENJO Professional division for building cleaning and yachting; the products are available in more than 26 countries.
