About enprobe
enprobe GmbH is a spin-off of the Institute of High-Frequency Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin and develops opto-electronic field probes as well as analog fiber-optic transmission links for measuring high-frequency electric fields. The active antennas (field probes) are characterized by their particularly compact design; signal transmission and power supply are entirely optical via optical fibers, so the probe barely distorts the field being measured. The probes deliver the full spectral and time-domain information of the field in both the frequency and time domains, opening up extended evaluation and analysis options in post-processing. Typical application areas lie in antenna technology, EMC measurement technology and general field measurement; the original research focus in the 1990s was initially on a medical application. The company was founded by W. Mann, Dr. J. Bruns and Prof. K. Petermann in order to translate long-standing research results into practically viable products. The company is based in Berlin.
