About Envision Energy
Envision Energy is a multinational company headquartered in Shanghai, founded in 2007 by Lei Zhang in Jiangyin (Jiangsu, China). The company manufactures wind turbines — with more than 2,400 turbines installed worldwide according to its own figures — and offers energy management software in use in more than 6,000 wind turbines in North America, Europe, Latin America and China. Via the battery division Envision AESC, majority-acquired in 2018 (75% from Nissan), Envision manufactures battery storage systems, among others in cooperation with Renault, Nissan, Daimler and Honda. The value chain includes research and development on turbine technology, two-bladed wind turbines and rotor blades as well as battery manufacturing, wind farm assembly and digital services. R&D locations include Shanghai, Jiangyin, Silkeborg (Denmark), Osaka (Japan), Houston, Silicon Valley, Boston and Boulder (USA). In 2023, Envision delivered wind turbines with 15.4 GW of capacity, ranking second among the world's wind turbine manufacturers.
