About EOS
EOS GmbH Electro Optical Systems, headquartered in Krailling near Munich, was founded in 1989 and is a provider of industrial 3D printing solutions (additive manufacturing) for metals and polymers. The portfolio comprises 3D printing systems for DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering) and SLS (Selective Laser Sintering), a broad range of qualified metal and polymer powders, software, powder handling and post-processing peripherals, service and consulting (Additive Minds). Metal powders include more than 35 alloys, among them aluminium, titanium Ti64, cobalt chrome, nickel alloys, stainless steel 316L, tool steels, copper as well as special materials such as pure tungsten (W1) and Invar (FeNi36). Polymer powders include polyamides (PA 11/PA 12), thermoplastic elastomers and PAEK. Large parts with a build height of up to one metre are realized by the four-laser AMCM M 4K system. Applications come from aerospace, automotive, medical, turbomachinery, oil and gas as well as general mechanical engineering; referenced customers include BMW, MTU, APS Technology and Sintavia. With locations in Germany, Finland, the USA and regional offices in Europe, Asia and North America, EOS, together with its partner network, is present in 35 countries.
