EQMC Consulting is the consulting practice of Bernhard Bals, an aerospace engineer with over 20 years of experience in engineering, Product Assurance, project management and quality management. The company supports space scale-ups, SMEs and space-related technology companies at the interfaces between technology, compliance and organization. The services include New-Space Product Assurance (product assurance plans, milestone reviews, ongoing support), tailored standard compliance according to ISO 9001, EN 9100 and ECSS as well as organizational development for scalable engineering structures. In addition, internal process and supplier audits and consulting on the introduction of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) are offered. The name EQMC stands for Engineering, Quality, Management and Culture. Selected customer projects include manufacturers of cabin pressure management systems for commercial aircraft, a New-Space team with an IR-optical wildfire detection payload (Canadian Space Agency) and a deployable antenna system (LDRS) for an ESA Earth observation mission.
