About ERC System
eRC-System GmbH (ERC System), based in Ottobrunn near Munich, develops and produces hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft that take off and land vertically and fly with wings in forward flight. The portfolio comprises the unmanned payload platform Victor U250 and its military variant U250-M (each 250 kg payload, over 300 km range, 250 km/h cruise speed, available from 2028) as well as the manned aircraft Charlie C700 for patient and personnel transport with over 500 kg payload and 800 km range. The medical variant of Charlie was developed together with experts from medicine and air rescue. The basis is a technology platform that has been proven with two full-scale prototypes: Echo flew for the first time in 2023 at 2,730 kg, and Romeo has been in flight testing since 2025 at around 2.7 tonnes. The systems target defence logistics, special logistics such as offshore and remote supply, aerial firefighting and agriculture, as well as emergency medical services. Partners and reference customers include IABG, Rega, DRF Luftrettung, ÖAMTC and RAV Fryslân; the company advertises roughly 60 % lower operating costs compared to a helicopter and operation via existing fuel supply without charging infrastructure.
