About us
Founded in 1919, the Erdmann Unternehmensgruppe combines six specialised operations in Hagen, Wetter (Ruhr) and Rüthen for forged parts, CNC machining, heat treatment and industrial painting. In die forging, components with unit weights from 0.1 to 150 kg and part lengths up to 1200 mm are produced; total forging capacity is 14,400 t per year. The value chain includes CAD/CAM design with forging simulation (SolidWorks, QForm), in-house tool and fixture making, CNC turning and milling with over 40 machines, robotic welding to ISO 3834-2 as well as tempering, annealing, induction hardening and water-based wet painting. Materials processed include structural steel, unalloyed and alloyed steels, stainless steels and AFP steel. The components go to rail technology, mechanical engineering, agricultural machinery, construction machinery, commercial vehicles and special fasteners; all manufacturing takes place in Germany, with delivery throughout Europe.
