About ERGE Elektrowärmetechnik

ERGE Elektrowärmetechnik Franz Messer GmbH develops and manufactures in Schnaittach electric heating elements and custom heating solutions built to customer drawings. The product range includes ceramic-insulated cylinder and nozzle heater bands (MEFLEX, MEFLEX-KUDI), mica-insulated cylinder and nozzle heating elements (KE), heating-cooling combinations, frame heating elements, cartridge heaters, temperature sensors, control devices, granulate dryers as well as continuous furnaces and air heaters. The high level of in-house manufacturing depth is based on its own sheet metal processing with punching, beading, rolling, edging as well as spot, TIG and laser welding; stainless steel (DIN 1.4301 and 1.4512), fire-aluminized steel sheet, aluminium sheet and brass sheet are processed. The core product is the MEFLEX ceramic heating element, manufactured since 1965, with insulation made of the special ceramic DIN C 221, which permits operating temperatures up to 800 °C. Main customers are plastics processing (injection moulding machines, extruders, blow heads), mechanical and special-purpose machine engineering, the chemical and electronics industries, the food industry as well as laboratories. In addition to its headquarters in Schnaittach, the company founded in 1927 maintains a subsidiary in Haiyan (China) and a sales company in Klagenfurt (Austria).
