Wood for home and garden – entirely made in-house
At its site in Sprakensehl-Behren in the Lüneburg Heath, Erich Scheerer GmbH manufactures solid wood products for home and garden: fences, privacy screens, façade timbers, decking boards, pergolas, garden elements, carports and patio roofs. Only solid softwoods are processed – predominantly Douglas fir, spruce and pine from PEFC-certified, mostly regional forestry – which are finished through RAL quality-tested pressure impregnation (KD+ brown, KDG grey) or factory-applied glaze colour treatment. Production includes planing, impregnation, glulam processing and assembly of kits, including timber-framed patio roofs with solid pre-routed glulam joints and polycarbonate multiwall sheets. The range of more than 4,000 articles is distributed via more than 300 specialist retailers; an in-house truck fleet ensures short delivery times. Founded in 1920, the family business has been run since 1989 by the third generation under Andreas Scheerer and employs around 90 staff on a plant site of over 90,000 m².
