ERKA Medizintechnik GmbH & Co. KG is a fourth-generation family business founded in 1889 by Richard Kallmeyer in Berlin. The company develops and manufactures stethoscopes, blood pressure monitors, cuffs and pressure infusion cuffs for physicians and medical facilities. As early as 1914, ERKA developed the world's first industrially manufactured blood pressure monitor in the company's history; the Erkameter, presented in 1927, became a worldwide model for blood pressure measurement. Production takes place exclusively in Germany, and every product undergoes the company's own 100% Quality Check, in which flawless function is verified. ERKA sells its products in more than 100 countries and operates a service and customer service center in Bad Tölz for calibration, repair and spare parts.
