About Erlenbacher Schiffswerft
Erlenbacher Schiffswerft Maschinen- und Stahlbau GmbH specialises in the construction, repair, conversion and maintenance of seagoing and inland vessels. On a 50,000 m² site with 498 metres of waterfront on the Main river, motor vessels, push barges and river cruise ships with lengths of up to 135 metres are built – in block construction from prefabricated steel sections with unit weights of up to 30 tonnes. Construction steel is the main material processed, with stainless steel also used for exhaust components; cutting of steel plates is fully automated. The shipyard has two slipway facilities with lengths of 110 and 135 metres as well as three gantry cranes each with a 30-tonne lifting capacity. Since its foundation, more than 1,100 ships have been built and almost 7,200 ships have been repaired, maintained and overhauled. The company, with more than 30 employees, is part of the Felbermayr Group; the ships are in service from Germany to the Middle East.
