About ERLUS AG
ERLUS Aktiengesellschaft, headquartered in Neufahrn in Lower Bavaria, is a manufacturer of roof ceramics, chimney systems and accessories for roofs, chimneys, stove construction and ventilation, founded in 1842. At the main Neufahrn plant, roof tiles are produced by the pressing/extrusion process, dried and fired in several roof tile plants; an own grinding plant, a slip house for clay preparation, an engobe preparation facility and an accessory tile plant with drying shop and accessory kiln complement production. In 1994, the ceramic pipe plant went into operation with patented manufacturing technology, in which premium ceramic pipes with CE-certified inner pipes are produced. At the Ergoldsbach plant, storey-high chimneys have been manufactured since 1995, since 2002 on an automated line, including factory-side pre-assembly on customer request; planar-ground shell stone production is also carried out there. The Bernhard brickworks in Teistungen (Austria), acquired in 2001, was converted into a roof tile plant in 2009. The product range also includes the manufactory production of historic tile shapes such as beaver-tail tiles and monk-and-nun tiles, hail protection systems and the in-roof photovoltaic system Energiedach für Level RS. The quality management system has been certified to ISO 9001 since 1996.
