The ERNE Gruppe was founded in 1906 in Laufenburg in the canton of Aargau and is a fourth-generation family business in which, alongside the founding family, two minority shareholders are involved. The company operates as a construction and real estate service provider, offering services in timber construction, structural and civil engineering works, and real estate development. With a high level of in-house production along the entire construction value chain – from raw material extraction through planning and realization to deconstruction, disposal, and reuse – the ERNE Gruppe focuses on resource-conserving construction and the circular economy. At its headquarters in Laufenburg and at additional locations in Switzerland and Germany, the group employs more than 1,300 staff from 32 nations. Its activities extend to Switzerland, Germany, and Luxembourg; in 2026 the company celebrated its 120th anniversary.
