About Ernst Butz GmbH

The Ernst Butz GmbH, founded in 1964, is an owner-managed family business in Lüdenscheid in the Sauerland region, specialising in the finishing and forming of aluminium. Core services include anodizing to DIN 17611 using the GS process with layer thicknesses of 3 to 20 µm, chemical and electrolytic brightening using the Erftwerk and Brytal processes, and dyeing of anodized parts using immersion and two-stage processes. Before anodizing, the surfaces are treated to DIN 16711, from E0 to E6, with grinding, brushing, polishing, pickling and degreasing. In addition, the company manufactures punched, bent and deep-drawn parts as well as trim strips and lettering on embossing presses up to 630 t, deep-drawing presses and two stretching benches. An in-house toolmaking department produces plastic injection moulds and assembly jigs; prototyping and small-series production in plastics and metal complete the offering. Customers come mainly from the lighting and consumer goods industries, the automotive sector, mechanical engineering, the furniture industry and the furnishings sector.
