Ernst E. Greiner GmbH in Offenburg manufactures complex precision parts, fixtures, tools and assemblies for customers from mechanical engineering, the automotive industry, the chemical industry and aerospace. The range of services includes 3- to 5-axis milling (up to 3000 x 1600 x 2000 mm), 2- to 5-axis turning (up to Ø 1100 mm and 2000 mm in length), wire and die-sink EDM, cylindrical and surface grinding, and welded constructions up to 3000 x 2000 x 1500 mm. In addition, the company carries out series assembly of assemblies and complete devices, including procurement of purchased and standard parts, hydraulic commissioning, functional testing and just-in-time delivery. Materials processed include steel, stainless steel, titanium, non-ferrous metals, aluminium, plastic, hardboard and GRP – from prototype to medium batch sizes. The quality management system is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015; inspection is performed among other things with optical 3D metrology. Around 40 employees work at the Offenburg site; the company produces with a large-scale photovoltaic system and recycles metal chips and coolants in closed loops.
