Ernst Freyer & Sohn Metalltechnik GmbH is a long-established Berlin metalworking company now in its sixth generation. What began in 1877 at Prinzenallee 86 with the manufacture of street signs is today a comprehensive product portfolio in steel and metal construction, urban street furniture and barrier systems. The range includes steel structures and metalworker/locksmith work including installation and repair services, as well as waste bins, bicycle racks, park benches, utility bollards, path demarcation rails and barrier posts. Production takes place in Berlin-Reinickendorf, predominantly from steel and other metals. Customers range from public authorities and major property developers to private end customers; the products have been a fixture of Berlin Zoo for decades.
