About Ernst Ziegelwerk

Ernst Ziegelwerk GmbH & Co. KG produces fired clay bricks in Eitensheim and has existed since 1894, today run by the fourth generation. The product range includes block bricks, partition wall bricks, solid bricks and special bricks, including loam building panels for ecological residential construction. Clay and loam serve as raw materials; a special principle is the acceptance and use of excavation material from construction pits, provided the soil quality allows it – a resource-saving approach to reusing excavated earth. With an annual production of around 35,000 tonnes of bricks, approximately 300 single-family homes per year can be supplied. Delivery is carried out with the company's own trucks. Since 2011, the company has been cooperating with the Leipfinger-Bader brickworks, supplying them with interior wall bricks, while in return sourcing highly thermally insulating extruded bricks and bricks from the CORISO and SILVACOR product ranges.
