ESCO SA is a Swiss machine tool manufacturer based in Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane that has been designing and producing automatic and CNC lathes under the escomatic brand since 1950. The machines process small-diameter parts from 0.3 to 8 mm made from coiled wire or bar stock. The principle is based on a rotating tool head that revolves around the stationary material; the spindles reach up to 12'000 t/min, motorized tools up to 18'000 t/min, with production rates of up to 80 parts per minute. The D2 to D6 series (including ULTRA and TWIN) cover diameters up to 4 mm, while the NM series (NM6, NM8) handle up to 8.2 mm with part lengths up to 150 mm.
