About eternal.ag
eternal.ag develops and operates autonomous harvesting robots for greenhouses. The fully autonomous harvesters take over repetitive harvesting tasks in existing greenhouse infrastructures without any retrofitting and without human operation – with up to 22 hours of operation per day. A stereo camera creates a 3D model of the tomato truss before every cut; sterilization is integrated into the harvesting cycle to ward off pathogens. The AI-based software ensures that the robots learn and improve with every deployment. According to the company, up to 85% autonomous harvesting coverage is achieved in current deployments. Initial customers are Van Noord Growers and Rijk Zwaan (cooperation) in the Netherlands; a first commercial operation in North America is planned for early next year. The company, founded in 2025 and based in Cologne, employs around 28 staff and has been funded, among others, by BackBone Ventures, Simon Capital, EquityPitcher Ventures and Oyster Bay Venture Capital.
