About ETHERMA
ETHERMA is an Austrian manufacturer of electric heating systems headquartered in Henndorf am Wallersee (Salzburg). The family business, founded in 1981 by Peter Reiter, has been developing and producing for over 40 years floor and mesh heating mats, silicone constant-heating cables, infrared heating panels (LAVA), infrared radiant heaters, recessed floor convectors made of extruded aluminium, as well as frost protection and pipe trace heating systems. In its own production hall (since 1996), the company manufactures mesh heating mats exactly to floor plan, assembles heating cables to size including factory-fitted waterproof joints according to CAD drawings, and since 2012 has produced design infrared heaters in Plant 2, also with custom motifs behind glass. Materials include silicone, Teflon-insulated heating wires, extruded aluminium, glass silk and glass. Customers include residential construction, hotels, commercial, industry and events; distribution is handled via subsidiaries in Germany, the Benelux countries and the Nordic countries. Since 2018, Viessmann has held a stake in ETHERMA. Around 100 employees work for this internationally active company.
