About the company

Ets. Horticole Desarzens is a professional horticultural business in Pomy in the canton of Vaud. The company produces young plants for horticulture, including vegetable seedlings, herbs, perennials, annual spring and autumn plants as well as bedding plants. At the core of production is a fully automated sowing line: pots and trays are automatically destacked, filled with substrate and compacted, a matrix stamps the sowing furrows, and depending on seed size a drum seeder or needle seeder is used. The crops are then covered with vermiculite, watered and stacked for cultivation. In addition to plant production, the company breeds beneficial insects for biological pest control. Sales are made through retailers as well as an online shop. Communication is in French and German.
