About EUG GmbH

EUG GmbH from Viernheim produces rubber profiles, profile frames, profile rings, O-rings, bellows and rubber hoses to individual customer requirements or from its standard product range. The basis is its own rubber compound formulations based on EPDM, FKM, CR, NR, NBR and SBR with varying chemical and physical properties; for each compound the customer receives a compound data sheet, and confirmations for certified compounds in the food, drinking water and fire protection sectors are possible. Production is carried out continuously on a UHF/hot-air extrusion line (120 mm extruder) and discontinuously on three lines with autoclave vulcanization (autoclaves 2 m, 6 m and 20 m) with extruders from 80 to 120 mm; approx. 13,000 profile cross-sections have already been realized. The company designs and manufactures the required extrusion tools, die heads, templates and molds in its own workshop. In addition, profiles are finished/assembled, joined by cold gluing, hot vulcanization or injection molding and marked with a high-speed laser. Customers come from industries such as wind energy, plant and mechanical engineering, automotive, shipbuilding, railcar construction and hydraulic engineering in Germany, Europe and countries outside Europe.

Compounds and Processes

EPDM

EPDM (ethylene-propylene)

Very good weather and ozone resistance, continuous service temperature up to +100 °C, suitable for building waterproofing and sheathings.

FKM

FKM (fluoro rubber)

Very good resistance to mineral oils, fuels, acids and aromatics at continuous service temperatures up to +220 °C.

CR

CR (chloroprene)

Balanced oil, fuel and weather resistance, continuous service temperature up to +90 °C.

NR

NR (natural rubber)

Very high tensile strength, elongation at break and rebound resilience for dynamic applications, service temperature up to +70 °C.

NBR

NBR (nitrile rubber)

Very good mineral oil resistance and good fuel resistance with continuous service temperature up to +120 °C.

SBR

SBR (styrene-butadiene)

Good tensile strength and abrasion properties for technical profiles, continuous service temperature up to +70 °C.

UHF/HLK

Continuous rubber extrusion with UHF vulcanization

Endless profiles and hoses in customer-specified lengths, produced on a line with a 120 mm extruder.

KV

Discontinuous extrusion with autoclave vulcanization

Classic production on three lines with autoclaves of 2 m, 6 m and 20 m, also long-cured and mandrel-cured up to 2 m in length.

FV

Vulcanization in molds and templates

Precise geometry formations for corners, radii and splice joints, also with injection molding presses.
