About europegel
europegel is a sole proprietorship based in Volders in Tyrol, specialising in water level gauges and products for hydrography. Since 1985, gauge staffs have been produced and distributed in various standard versions as well as to customer specifications. The product range includes GFRP gauge staffs made of three layers of through-dyed polyester resin with glass fibre reinforcement, in which the scale and digits are applied 1 mm deep using a 3D printing process; stainless steel gauge staffs made of V4A (1.4571) with a scale cut completely through by laser cutting; as well as snow gauges made of aluminium profile with an adhered scale. In addition, adhesive scales, signs, edge rails, screws and substructures made of aluminium or stainless steel are offered. Special scales and special widths are available on request. Customers include water suppliers, hydrographic services of provincial governments, power plant operators, construction companies, municipal enterprises, engineering offices, ski lifts, golf clubs, the food industry and private customers in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Luxembourg.

Materials & Processes
Stainless steel V4A
Stainless steel for gauge staffs with laser-cut scale; suitable for drinking water, food and wastewater treatment plants.
GFRP (polyester resin with glass fibres)
Three-layer laminated "wet in wet" and through-dyed, resistant to salt and fresh water, oils and sewage sludge.
Aluminium
Profile material for snow gauges with adhered scale as well as substructures.
Laser cutting
The scale of the stainless steel staffs is cut completely through at 1-cm intervals, with material identification engraved.
3D printing
Application of scale and digits 1 mm deep into GFRP gauge staffs.
GFRP lamination
Three-layer structure of polyester resin and glass fibres, fully through-dyed and cured without voids.
