About Euroscope
Euroscope is a manufacturing and operating company for coin-operated telescopes and souvenir machines headquartered in Wuppertal. Founded in 1926, the company develops and produces observation telescopes, Smartscopes, medal embossing machines, medal dispensers and combination machines as well as Memoeuro® souvenir banknotes. The embossing machines transform inserted 5-cent euro coins purely mechanically, using a crank, into oval souvenir medals with individually designed motifs; the machines are optionally available with a cashless function. The telescopes made of stainless steel are built to withstand wind and weather and are designed for applications such as animal observation or use by eyeglass wearers. Around 2,000 machines are in operation across Europe, including at the Eiffel Tower, Cologne Cathedral, Zoo Berlin and the Klein Matterhorn. The subsidiary Euroscope BeNeLux B.V., based in Hulst (Netherlands), serves the BeNeLux market.
