EVD Metallverarbeitungs GmbH is an owner-managed family company based in Drolshagen in the Sauerland region of southwestern Germany (Südwestfalen). The company designs and manufactures stamping and forming tools for the automotive industry and other sectors, including transfer tools with gripper rail sets, progressive dies, manual insert tools and prototype tools with a total weight of up to 65 t. The value chain ranges from simulation and method planning (AutoForm) through 3D CAD design to toolmaking, the tryout pressing of parts on a 12000-kN servo-hydraulic tryout press, and support through to series start-up. The materials processed are mainly sheet steel, high-strength DP steels, deep-drawing sheet and aluminium. In addition, the company manufactures part gauges and checking fixtures and offers contract work such as 2-, 3- and 5-axis machining, grinding, EDM and tryout pressing. On a production floor of 1300 m², the company operates a machine fleet with CNC milling machines, EDM machines, grinding equipment and crane systems up to 32 t.

Foundation of EVD Metallverarbeitung GmbH by the brothers Hubertus and Edgar Viedenz in Drolshagen/Sengenau.
