About Eventag
Eventag is a company that emerged from mobile EEG research in Oldenburg and translates ambient audio into structured context data. The core product Sentien analyzes uploaded recordings or live microphone streams and detects sound events with timestamps and confidence values, scene context, activity context, and signal features; output is provided as structured data such as JSON or CSV via an API and web app. In addition, Eventag offers contextual annotation for mobile EEG and biosignal data as well as a small hardware tagger. Fields of application include wearables, AI assistants and agents, research and biosignals, robotics, smart spaces, and security & safety. Following the privacy-by-design principle, only event labels are stored, never raw audio or video. The team combines neuroscience, hardware development, and business; scientific advisor is Prof. Dr. Martin Bleichner of the University of Oldenburg. The company is headquartered in Oldenburg.

Technologies & Processes
Audio Context AI (Sentien)
Detects sound events, scenes, and activities from ambient audio and delivers four parallel, timestamped context layers per run.
Eventag Hardware Tagger
Small, rounded tagging device with a single button for contextual annotation of events.
Context Annotation for Mobile EEG
Enriches EEG and biosignal data with environmental context, hardware-independent and compatible with any EEG system.
