About evolaris
evolaris is a technology association registered in the commercial register of the Canton of Bern, based in Nidau (Switzerland), which has set itself the goal of building the world's first electrically powered aerobatic aircraft. The association comprises specialist experts from aircraft construction, mechanical engineering and drive technology. The project idea originated from two electrical engineering graduates of the Bern University of Applied Sciences for Engineering and Computer Science, supported by professors of drive technology and photovoltaics. Technically, the project comprises a fuselage structure made of high-strength steel tubes with an outer skin of fibre-reinforced plastic laminate, a detachable wing, a lithium battery with a fibre-composite and light-metal housing, a synchronous motor with a targeted output of 200 kW at approx. 30 kg weight, and two redundant water-cooled power inverters. The association is financed exclusively by patrons' and investors' contributions; the contact page is listed as evolaris aviation GmbH, while the about page describes a technology association.
